I have just gotten a new DVD Writer, the LG GMA4020B.

I have several movies that are in SVCD format right now, and just saved as data files on CDR. What I would like to do is put them on DVD, 2 movies per DVD.

    My question is:

Since the movies are all in two parts, is it possible to put the four files onto a DVD and setup the menu so you select #1 or #3? But have #1 play file #1 and file #2. Have #3 play file #3 and file #4. If you know what I mean.

LHS menu: How TO : Guides : Format Conversion: SVCD to DVD:

    https://www.videohelp.com/guides?formatconversionselect=SVCD+to+DVD

However I'd use svcd2dvdmpg or even svcd2dvdmpg+ when its out in a few days....
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

    Let me rephrase the question.

I have four files totaling about 3.2GB, they are 480x480 @29.997 FPS and the audio is 48KHz.

The four files are DVD ready, my DVD stand alone is a Pioneer that plays VCD and SVCD.

    Movie_01_A.mpg
    Movie_01_B.mpg
    Movie_02_A.mpg
    Movie_02_B.mpg

The guides only go so far, what I need to know is which software will allow me to have all four files on the dvd, have a menu with links to Movie_01_A.mpg and Movie_02_A.mpg, but when the Movie_01_A.mpg link is selected, Movie_01_A.mpg plays as wells as Movie_01_B.mpg. The same for Movie_02_A.mpg.

I have copies of BsDVD (it came with the burner), and evaluation copies of Ulead DVD Workshop, Ulead Movie Factory 2, DVDit PE and Scenarist. I am trying to figure out which software I should buy.

    Thanks in advance.

  5. If I understand it right, your problem is the wrong linking inside your menu-authoring.
For using all 4 Films separately there should be 4 "buttons", each one linked to one movie.

    Movie_01_A.mpg : Button 1
    Movie_01_B.mpg : Button 2
    Movie_02_A.mpg : Button 3
    Movie_02_B.mpg : Button 4

I don't have DVD Maestro, can it not be accomplished with one of the 5 I do have?
