Can anyone help me with a sound problem in NeoDVD

I'm not too crazy about NeoDVD but when I need a quick compile, NeoDVD does the trick. Recently, I can no longer hear any sound when I use this program. Using other programs with the same video work fine. I've checked all the settings and they appear to be ok.
What can it be?

Thanks but I had already run the upgrade in January. It didn't seem to make any difference. I do think it has something to do with it being an XVID file but I do have all the correct codecs since all my other authoring programs have no problems with these.
