Need breakdown of DVD,SVCD and VCD....

I am looking if someone can tell me the breakdown of what is normally included in the saved directories of encoded video files in DVD, SVCD and VCD format. Reason I am asking is that I have been trying like hell to encode a video file however it always seems that I run into a roadblock or my saved to HD directory is not complete, so if I knew what should be there it might help me during set-up and evaluation.........

I am sorry about my earlier forum post however there are so many items listed on the left and at times when you are looking for something specific it gets overwhelming to me at least. I am fairly new to all this and just trying to learn, also I have found that when you can ask for help from more experienced people that your course or path will travekl more quickly.....
