  1. I've got a divx file(Life of Brian) which is 24.000fps. How do I encode it with TMPGenc to get the best quality?
    25.000 or 23.976?

    Use VDUB to convert it to 23.976 fps. Then frameserve it to TMPG. You will have to look at the length of audio and video to see if you going to have sync issues. BeSweet can correct this for you with no noticable shift in sound frequency.

    Vdub will work but its not necessary. Just set TMPGenc to 23.976fps output and on the advanced tab click "do no framerate convert." This will make TMPGenc physically slow the playback speed down, rather than just decimate frames.
