  1. whilst trying to view files that are being downloaded and then trying to view them on windows media player iget an error message saying error downloading codec and also file may be formatted by an unsupported codec . Anybody any ideas?

  2. Download gspot from the tools section, scan your file and then install the relevant codec. Stay away from nimo, only install individuals.

    You need to install the codecs needed to play it. WMP won't download DivX or XviD or some ff the audio codecs. Go to the download section of this site and get GSPot to tell what the codec is. Then you will probably need the DivX 5.03 codec (contains spyware), the XviD codec, and MP3 audio codec, an AC3 audio codec, and maybe FFDShow for good measure(direct X play everything codec).
