  1. I used the trial version of Tmpgenc Plus and everything was great. I made my first DVD by encoding with it. I registered the program and now I get an unsupported file message when trying to open an MPEG2 file. I have tried increasing the priority on DirectShow with no success. The file plays fine using Windows Media Player and PowerDVD. And like I said, it worked fine before I registered. Any suggestions?

  3. Okay, I downloaded the m2v_vfp-0.6.33.lzh file from the link given on the tools page. What do I do with this?

  5. Did you put the m2v.vfp and the m2v.conf files in the same folder before clicking on the m2v.conf icon? Also go to the environmental settings and click on the vfapi plugin tab.You should see mpeg2 video plugin listed. Make sure it is checked and give it a priority of one. See if that works.

For some reason the Cyberlink codec (PowerDVD) doesn't help TMPGEnc. The MPEG2 plugin works for me, but often will not recognize the audio stream. I've been meaning to try the Elecard MPEG2 DShow filter/codec. I haven't yet, cuz I'm lazy, but you might try it.

PowerDVD (Cyberling MPEG2 codec) most certainly works. Maybe reinstall PowerDVD. You did something wrong.

For me , opening MPG2 files in TMPGenc is very bizarre , the File Wizard will not open it at all (error message ), but when I cancel the wizard and load it on the program screen it opens MPG2 no problem at all .

Interesting. I never use the Wizard. But I just tested mine, and it opens them fine that way too. Hmm...
