Hello everyone.
Today I tried converting my VCD version of Final Fantasy to a SVCD (bitrate 2496, 3 80 min Disks). Everything seems fine until I'm going to burn it and Nero complains about the sound being invalid or something close to that. Is there no hope for me to convert this version to SVCD so I can get some decent quality and play it on my DVD player?

convert VCD .dat to .mpg
demux
convert video only .m1v to m2v
reencode audio if you like
multiplex both with bbMPEG
create an image with VCDImager
burn with CDRwin
Why do you convert VCD to SVCD? Do you really expect a better quality? -
Main reason for converting it to SVCD is that my DVD player seems to prefer them over VCDs, alot less artifacts and such, no idea why though.
