  1. Hi, I've been trying to open different movie files in Windows Media Player and the computer just seems to load forever and the movie never comes up. The movie's info even comes up on Windows Media Player like how long the file is and the clip's name, however the video itself doesn't play and there isn't any sound. I know I have the right codecs, and I have even tried reinstalling Windows Media Player but nothing seems to work. If anyone could offer some suggestions I would greatly appreciate it thx.

  2. Are you sure about your codecs? I thought I had all my codecs in order until I heard nothing but high pitched scratches while trying to play an mpeg2 file the other day. The problem wasnt that I didnt have the codec, it was that I had more than one.

If you havent done so yet, check your codecs with gspot. Sure sounds like a codec problem.
