Help with Adobe Premiere 6.0!!

In Premiere, I get no audio when I play back a project. I have a matrox G450 and a Matrox 2500 capture card. Audio works in any other app just fine. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Is this something new to your system/setup or is your system/setup new?

I have the Pinnacle DV500 and Premiere 6, and I do not get sound via the sound card but instead through the connect TV which I use as a monitor/TV/VCR(in/out). So I can not remember if it is a Pinnacle or Premiere design feature, but it was stated in one of the setup manual.

Well this is a brand new system I set up for one of my graphics users (Compaq P4, 1.4Ghz,1GigRam, Matrox G450, Matrox 2500 capture card). Audio works with everything EXCEPT when playing back a project we created with different mpg clips and wav files. any ideas?

I am guessing Matrox is like the Pinnacle, then you have to loop the sound through your sound card. My system is set up the same way. I can hear sound (via the sound card) from applications other that Premiere. I think if you double click a wav file, it will play via the sound card with Premiere assuming the settings are correct. I am sorry I am away from my system or I would give you more definitive answer. Also, why I was help a friend setup her system with another capture board, we had to physical contact the audio out on the board to the audio in on the sound card.

You will have to read your Matrox manual on how to do that?
