    My dvd player wont play pal vcd's is there any way to convert the pal mpeg to ntsc

    did a divx pal to ntsc over the weekend. Load up a VCD ntsc template in TMPG, change any of the specifics you'd like, but also under the SETTINGS, ADVANCED, check 3:2 pulldown. This did the trick for me. There's some horizontal lines on occassion, but you're gonna have some loss as you're going from 23 fps to 29.97 fps.
