    hi all,

    is there a way to check the quality of dvd-r / dvd-rw, basically to check that the dvd is near 100% quality, and theres no hidden splodges or anything

    Only way I know of it to play it. I have heard that the memerex ones that if you slightly bend it that it will make cracking noise for bad ones and the disc is smuged or something. For good media I have no clue.

    i should mention that i already bought some DVD-R's & DVD-RW's and they are both Verbatim DataLifePlus Version 1.1.
