    Bought some DVD-Rs by mistake online and My DVD+WR burner is a Philips dvd+rw do1.

    Is there a patch i can use to have my drive read/write DVD-Rs?

    Nope. Contact the store where you bought the DVD-R discs from and see if you can exchange it for DVD+R discs.
