I recently updated my version of DVDx from 2.0 to 2.2 but when I try to start the darn thing I get an error message saying that DVDx.exe has encountered a problem and has shut down and asking me if I want to send a report to Microsoft.
HOW can I get the program to run?? Anyone who has experienced this problem please advise me.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Have you tried an un-install, re-install? I don't know your system, but in 98 it's in the Control Panel> Add-Remove Programs list. Also, as a matter of habit, when I do un-install a program, I run Regclean to try to get any leftovers out of the registry.

    Thanks,
I did uninstall and re-installed it and it seems to work. Now I have to figure out the proper settings so that the Audio will track with the Video. I hate being a newbie.......

Don't worry about the newbie thing.
I've done 40+ DVDx converts, I like the program, for speed and exact fit to X # of CDs. I've only had a couple give me problems with the audio sync, but those were very bad, 3 seconds or so. Funny thing is, it got progressively worse, disk 1 to disk 2, but disk 3 was in perfect sync.
Click the help button at the bottom. It will tell you all the settings you should have set, and what the other choices will do.
I'm not using it much, anymore, but if you get a "stuck", holler.
