I have encoded a number of WAV files to AC3 using Besweet. Problem--when played back (either on the computer or receiver from the resulting DVD), the "sound level" (sorry, I don't know the correct term) is a lot lower for the AC3 file vs the WAV file. I have tried the "auto gain" button in the Besweet GUI, but the results are the same. To get a satisfactory sound, you really need to crank the volume level up on the receiver.
I think I've seen earlier posts regarding this problem, but no resolution. Anyone with similar problems and more importantly, a fix?? Thanks in advance.
