    Ok Ok....I know, RTFM, and if there was one I would read it.
    I hate going over territory that's already been crossed too.

    My question(s) is/are:
    what exactly is frame serving?
    what programs can frame serve to and from?
    what is its purpose?
    etc, etc.

    If there is a FAQ on the subject then a link would be appreciated! Any information on the subject would be appreciated as well.

    Frameserving is for using features of an app on a movie and then serve the result to another app.
    For example: use VirtualDub to use filters on a .avi file and then framserve the output to TMPGenc to encode to .mpg.
