I've a dvd ripped using smartripper on my hard disk, which is the best way to get it on a dvd-r.

Ok first you have to have a DVD burner to get it on a DVD -R . If you do then once you ripped it with smartripper ...... is the movie below 4.7 gigs ? If so then burn the movie using Nero. There are lots of guides to the left of this window under DVD-rip.

yes, you can use DVD Shrink and you do not need to use Smartripper. DVD Shrink will do everything
