  1. I have a bush 2020 Standalone dvd player which shouls support svcd, however when I go to play some svcd I have there is no sound and the picture sometimes plays at a faster rate then it should???

Would this mean that it is not svcd compatible?? I can play vcds, xvcds, kvcds without any probs whatsoever??

Looking in the DVD players section, I see that someone is having a sound problem with SVCDs. Andy states: "I have tried running a svcd i get picture but no sound im using a 21 pin scart also svhs lead but still no sound." Sorry I can't be of more help.

  3. firmware update so the bush 2020 can play svcd's with sound.Use the link below to download the file unzip files and burn to a cdr.Put the cdr into your 2020 and it will update the firmware. On the page its self it dosn't say anything about the 2020 but its all to do with the chips used in the 2020.I'v just used this my self and it works great i'm now playing svd's.It took me a long time to find this so enjoy my hard work.

  5. I just read the info on the readme in the zip, i burnt to a cd rw at 4x speed, popped it in the dvd player and it said boot disc, the display went up in number 1,2,3,4,5 then switched off then back on and up to ...10, blank screen on tv. Then it stayed at 10 for ages, so i swich power off and then checked a svcd but still no sound?

How long does it take to up date? does it do anything past 10? should i of turnt it off?

    Hope you can help again!!
    thanks

  7. Hi Again

I'v just done the firmware update again so i know it works. When you put the firmware disk in it will turn on and off and go up to 10 at that point your sould see a screen saying system update utility at that point you need to press play and the update will be loaded it will show on screen whats being updated and the dvd display where it said 10 will be counting up to 20+ .

    Hope this helps
