  1. I have been trying to get some AVI's to convert to xsvd using tmpgenc. At first it was freezing so I did a little more research and ripped the audio using virtualdub to a wav file. Now I continue following the instructions and select my wav file for audio and my original vid file. Now tmpgenc gets to 99% and errors out about the audio file.
Also, I am using the svcd template and setting my BR to 2450 for max quality. The resulting mpg is almost a gig, is this right?

  2. I have gotten the 99% error before and the way I got around the problem was using the adavnced options in tmpgenc and selecting the source range. What I do is select the beginning frame for the start frame and select one frame less than the last of the movie for the end frame. This seems to fix the problem and usually loosing one frame at the end of a movie is not noticable at all. Good luck.
