I just downloaded the Newest version of VirtualDub, and I have a XVID. I wanted to get the audio out of the XVID, But when I go to File>open video file.. I get the Error saying "VirtualDub requires a video for windows(VFW)compatible codec to decompress video" Does anyone know how to get rid of this message, so I can get the Audio for my XVID? if not can someone suggest another program that does the same thing?

Are you talking about the MPEG-2 AC3 version of Virtual Dub?

Go to the Tools section at left. Download the MPEG-2 mod version of Virtual Dub. I do not believe that version is available on the Virtual Dub web site. Then try again from there.
    Hello.

See if you can load the program into Gold Wave. If you can, save the audio as a wave file.
