    Would appreciate assistance, please. I decoded from newsgroup an "AVSEQ01.DAT" file. I want to burn as either a vcd or,if necessary, a dvd. I first tried burning file as an Image using both Nero and EZCDCreator(thinking it is already in a "vcd" format). Would not play as vcd. Also tried burning as a VCD without success, using both programs. I then followed instructions in the Help section--"How to rip video from VCD (VCD to MPG) using ISOBuster. I tried to extract and rename as an mpg file, but after running iso prog, the resulting mpg file was empty!! Any assist would be greatly appreciated as I have approx dozen files that I would like to convert to vcd. Thank you.

    try vcdgear. it will give you the mpg file from the dat file.
