  1. I ripped the audio off of a dvd using smartripper 2.41. It just gave me .vob files. How can I convert them into music files (.wav, .mp3, etc?)

Is there a simple program that will do this?

a .vob has both audio and video intertwined.

check the Convert guides to find out how to de-mux (separate audio and video) a .vob (I believe that SmartRipper will de-mux, if you choose the correct settings).

Once you have the demuxed files, throw out the video file, and check in the Audio Convertor section of the Tools page for a convertor to get from that format to .wav.

(sorry if I'm being vague, I'm at work and I don't have SmartRipper on this machine, so I can't give you setting info...)

  3. thanks for the info. In smartripper, I went to the streaming info and only shose the audio portions to be ripped. So the .vob files should all be audio.
I'll check the Audio Convertor section. I was just hoping someone could steer me in the right direction so I could get a program that would do the whole thing for me in the future.
