I tried ripping a Friends DVD to VCD, and for some reason the video quality isn't as good. It's more pixelated than the DVD image is. Would that have anything to do with the option to set VCD 1.1 or VCD 2.0? I used the apps in Sefy's Backup Guide: SmartRipper, DVD2AVI, TMPGEnc and VCDEasy.....
Anyone know what I might have done wrong?
Thanks so much in advance!

Look at the description of what a VCD is, on the top of the left navigation bar of this site. The only difference is that VCD 2.0 also supports PAL and have segment items, quality is exactly the same.
