Correct me if im wrong, but i believe it came out on the 26th?
Anyways, it's pretty simple to use to make chapters and menus. Yesterday, i took X-Men DVD, movie only, and easily added a menu and chapter points. You can use their default menus or add your own.

All in all, if anyone is into authoring their own stuff and likes to be simple, then i would give this a shot. This could be an option for myself instead of using IC all the time.....But i do enjoy my IC!

  2. I used this program just last night and is is GREAT! I had Winsor Pilates (Exercise DVD's) 3 disk set. The first 2 disks were about 20 - 25 minutes and the last one was ~50 minutes. I wanted to put all 3 on one disk.
So I searched all over and found a couple of methods using vobedit and ifoedit and I could not get either one to work. The I stumbled across TMPGenc DVD Author...
I ran each disk through DVD2ONE 1.1.1 (Movie only) as TMPGenc DVD Author didn't want to recognize them after just being ripped with DVD Decryptor. The last disk was about 500 meg too large so I set the disk size of dvd2one to 1800 meg.
Then I loaded them into TMPGenc, picked out the menu I wanted and processed! I think it took about an hour and a half or so to process. Burned with Record Now Max and I'm done!

Much easier than IFOedit methods & I have a menu! Highly recommended program!

Well i've now run into a problem with this prog.
I can't really say if it's the programs problem or the fact that im trying to add a menu to incomprable Matrix.
Im using just the main movie as i did with X-Men, except when i load the DVD Video into TMPGenc the screen that is supposed to show the video and audio of the movie is BLANK! So therefore i have nothing to work with here??!?

The movie works fine with PowerDVD and the VIDEO_TS has all the correct files...So could someone who is using this prog tell me, if this is a Matrix problem or am i overlooking something here TIA

  5. WOW! Does Anamorphic and AC3. Not as powerful as Maestro, but much easier, much cheaper and still in production. Other than Maestro, this is my number one choice. I would put Scenarist in there but dont know how to use it. This program kills DVDit, MyDVD, DVD Workshop, DVD MovieFactory 2. Puts them in the ground.

It is good to see new programs coming out that are good, it seems like its been forever since a good authoring program has been release. DVDLab also looks promising but the beta wasnt too good.

  6. IremainAMisterE - How did you fix your problem? I am encountering the same thing and, being the newbie that I am, cannot figure out what is going on!!

    Thanks in advance!

  7. I've been testing it out and was able to successfully put Cube and Cube 2 - Hypercube on one disc! (Both movies are in the 90 minute range.) I used TMPGEnc Plus 2.510 to encode and could have used higher bitrates on the second movie because I had plenty of space still left on the disc after putting both movies on the DVD-R. Anyways...this program is simple, simply works and is simply great! I'm already sold on it and will be purchasing it soon! This program will only get better as time goes on!

  8. I'm having a problem with chapters. I can add the chapter points, O.K. But when I process the video and burn it, I get the main menu and cannot access the chapters. When I play the movie, I get a brief flash of the menu screen just before the opening sequence. What am I doing wrong, or possibly, not doing?

milesopotatoes, all i did was run my VIDEO_TS folder of The Matrix through DVD2One. When it came to choosing what audio to keep, all i kept was the 6ch and left out both other 2ch audios. I also kept the English subs. When DVD2One was finished, the movie was down to 3.95gb instead of 4.32gb. But i believe that is because i stripped out the extra 2 audios.
Anyway, when i used the 'Open DVD Video' option in TMPGenc DVD Authoring...and selected my new VIDEO_TS folder, it recognized it and let me proceed.
Im not sure if this will fix your problem, but it helped me.

Yorel, im not too sure about what is happening with your issue?
I use the default 'BLUE' template and then add my own Menu screen to that. I then remove 10 chapter points, bringing it from 30 to 20. I then fix up the rest for what i want each link to say and what font, color, background etc.
The only thing i can think of is to check to make sure you have the 'First Play Action' set to Display Main Menu in the Create Menu step.
I remember the first time i used this prog, i forget to set that and when it was finished processing...I played the movie through PowerDVD and it skipped the menu and played the movie, then at the very end of the credits, the menu came up.

I dunno what else to say....Cause i am in no way a pro with this program.
