  1. Hello!
I got a PCTV Deluxe four days ago and I have no problems so far (Strange eh?).
I have no dvd burner so the only thing I burn so far are VCD/SVCDs. The problem is that when I capture straight to the apropriate resolutions, the video looks bad, the low resolution is obvious even when I watch the videos in my TV set. I can almost count the pixels!
Am I doing something wrong? Is it better to use another capture program than Vision? Or the only way to go is to capture at DVD quality and then re-encode?
Please note that I use so far USB 1 connection, but I don't think this is the problem...

  2. Sorry, I don't have experience with VCD or SVCD, but did you try to play it on TV ? Maybe it will not look that bad. On computer due high resolution, you see much more than on TV

  5. Difference is that this (USB) box is hardware mpeg encoder with Broadcom Kfir-II (BCM7040KQL) chip. I believ it is manufactured by Emuzed.com . So I don't believe that it is fair to compare it with captures that are converted to mpeg by sofware. Well... that still doesn't explain bad experience by unforgiven.
