The thing that for me at least makes a good moderator is not to distance yourself from the rest of us.
Moderator's should only be noticed 'to calm the storm' if you like, or point someone in the right direction when they're not doing things as they should.
You shouldn't feel you can't talk to these guys, or respond to them as you would anyone else
The one's I've mentioned do a great job and perfect the balance between pain in the arse and moderator very well.
You should rename yourselves mediator's, it's more accurate!

Pretty much like the rest of the moderator's I know man, you come across as a regular, normal guy, although you should use emoticons a little more my facially-hair challenged friend, you can come across as a sarcastic bastard sometimes, most likely inadvertantly.
