Hello mrhappyface
Sorry, I don't have access to my home machine to make screenshots, but perhaps this info could point you in the right direction. I'll try to make it as newbie-friendly as I can
Run TMPGEnc, select File | MPEG Tools, go to the Demux tab on the right (not Simple Demux tab - use the other one), and load your file.
Compare the video and audio values presented there against the SVCD specifications described on this website (www.dvdrhelp.com/svcd).
If these settings aren't the same, you can switch off the SVCD compliancy check under Nero, burn the files as if they were SVCD, but you'd actually have an XSVCD (a non-standard SVCD) disc. Or you can reencode the file to proper SVCD format, but you'd lose some quality because of recompression.
If the settings are the same, you have to remux the file to a compliant SVCD file.
Step 1: Using TMPGEnc's MPEG Tools option again, go to the Simple Demux tab, add your file, and perform the demux (ie. seperate into video and audio files)
Step 2: Go to the Simple Remux tab, load the video and audio created in Step 1, make sure the drop down type says MPEG2 or SVCD, and create a new mpeg2 file.
Step 3: Try burning this new file under Nero.
If you need more info, a forum search should steer you right.
If you need to reencode, check the User Guides on this site. The info above is just to help you find out if any reencoding is actually necessary first. No point in reencoding if it's a simple issue, right?
Hope this helps some.../\/\ars /\/\ayhem
