  1. I have a dvd (movie only, no menus, but has chapters) that is exactly 3.11gb... it doesn't play properly in my dvd player, it plays very choppy, the original source was 4 svcd's and i merged and burned them, it works fine in my friends dvd player but not mine, i used nero to burn it, i've used ULEAD DVD moviefactory 2 for other things and it worked on my dvd player so i decided to try using that for this. So i opened the ULEAD program, and clicked "import dvd video" and i added the movie, but when it comes out it comes in as double the size, yup it's 6.2 gb... why does moviefactory double the size of the movie? and yes i checked to make sure there were no menus, and i didn't add it twice.

Moviefactory will reencode svcds to dvd standard. But you can use www.svcd2dvdmpg.com first to prepare the svcds and then add them in ulead moviefactory, author and burn.

You could also let moviefactory reencode but then you MUST choose a lower mpeg video bitrate and also use mpg audio under the settings.
