Hi all - I have a couple of old films - one vhs, the other laserdisc - which I've captured, but they were colourised (sorry, "colorized") - is it easy (or indeed possible) to convert the .mpg's back to monochrome, as I hate the effect of the colourisation? I watch them with the colour tuned right down on the tv, but it'd be nice to do that in software beforehand.
Thanks for any help,
Wc

Easy. Using either Vdub or Avisynth (I prefer Avisynth), use the Greyscale filter. I always use this filter for B&W movies--it eliminates all minute traces of color that sometimes occur after encoding. Hope this helps.
