  1. Was wanting to know if anyone can help me???? I have converted many movies to fit on a single disc vcd with no problems. My problem now is that a movie that when played in media palyer as an avi shows up as 1 hour 50 min, and a file size of 733,640mb Is showing up in TMPEG as a 326 min movie, and when i tried it in nero it shows up as 975mb. So i cant get it to fit one cd with out looking like total crap???? Any idea?????? if so please email me at kcalvert@cinci.rr.com thanks...

  2. Well, you will have a real job getting 1hr 50 onto a VCD in any sort of watchable quality anyway, but I thunk I can probably help with the TmpGenc problem.

Try opening the AVI in virtualdub and I reckon it will give you a waring dialog about VBR audio streams. It is this that is causing TmpGenc problems.

    Two possible solutions.

    1) Use the source range feature of TmpGenc to tell it to stop encoding at the last frame.

    2) Convert the audio to a seperate uncompress wav file using goldwave (www.goldwave.com) and use that as the audio input to Tmpgenc when encoding.

    Hope this helps.
