  1. i was getting the error invalid pointer from TMPGEnc when trying to
    convert an xvid to vcd.so i followed the guide for frameserving to
    TMPGEnc.what im not to sure about is should i still use the wave
    file i extracted with v-dub while frameserving to TMPGEnc.

  2. Yes, but since your source is an xvid I would check it for bad frames before I extracted a wav file. If it has bad frames just delete the bad frames and you will have a new avi without bad frames. I would extract the wav audio from THAT file and then use it.
