I was using to RecordNow to burn a backup of a DVD-9 movie that I ripped with DVDDecryptor and Split with IfoEdit. I kept trying to burn the first disc and RecordNow refused to burn. Everything looked correct, I've backed up several movies before and didn't see anything wrong. In frustration I burned it with Nero to DVD-RW and it wouldn't play in my standalone player. I then went back the VIDEO_TS folder and noticed that I had failed to put a VTS_01_1.VOB file in that folder. (The main movie was in the VTS_02_*.VOBs). After I put that file in the VIDEO_TS folders for both discs I burned them to DVD-RW using RecordNow and they play great. I just wish RecordNow would be more specific to why it wouldn't burn ... Maybe something like you're trying to burn invalid or incompatible VIDEO files to the disc instead of something is wrong with the media (which nothing wasn't). Anyway, I guess RecordNow is smarter than I am. It just wouldn't tell me why and made me figure it out myself.
