I created my sons footeage dvd quality.mpg now how do i burn it to dvd. The mpg contains all the menus etc. I tried doing it with Pinnacle studio 8.5, but gave me an error. CAn you guys give me details.
I have more videos to do and was also wondering if Pinnacle studio 8.5 lets you do two individual audio streams which you can switch between like commercial dvds'. If no then which software does do this? Also do i have to rip the sound out of the mpg movie file and have another audio file for eg
Video+audio1 or Video+audio2
To do this do i have to separate the audio1(original sound) from the first footage i have and put it in a audio_ts folder with the audio2(some cool music when i dont wanna hear my kids rant)
thanks guys

Mrsash.
from your following statement "I created my sons footeage dvd quality.mpg" I'm assuming that you either captured your original source as mpeg or you captured as avi and then successfully encoded to an mpeg file without creating a dvd.
if you are starting with an mpeg file, Studio8 has been known to give users some problems when creating a DVD project, even with mpeg files created via studio8.
for better results I would recommend capturing in AVI format then create your dvd project (always create to hard disk first).
regarding your audio question, you can add a background audio track to your project, but I don't think that is what you want, so the answer is no.
if you already have the mpeg2 files and you just need to author these to dvd then take a look at DVDlab application, it has not yet been released but you can download a trial-beta version.
my response is based on assumptions, so a little more information from you part may give better answsers. -
Sorry about that, i did not know myself. I got the make disc option which makes the dvd video files on hard disk. I used to make mpeg option before ---darn.
I did not want the background music with the sound from the original but rather need to put 2 individual sound tracks and wanna be able to choose from either when the footage is playing
thanks -
For that kind of options you would need higher end DVD authoring software. Only one that I was testing so far that allowed more then one audio track was Pinnacle Impression DVD Pro. Around $399.99 .... just for Authoring. There must be more DVD authoring programs there with this option but I don't know them yet....
Pinnacle Studio 8 and DV home video editing (ver.9 already home)
