  1. OK, im trying to use TMPGEnc to create MPEG 2 files in video size 704x480. No matter what type of input video i use, i ALWAYS get this error message somewhere along the line. It is always at a RANDOM point during encoding, NEVER the same point twice.

Read Error Occured At Address 00499F87 Of Module 'TMPGEnc.exe' With 00000004

How do i go about fixing this up!????

At first it happened with TMPGEnc Plus 2.510, so i thought it may be a bug of the new version, so i got my hands on a copy of TMGPEnc Plus 2.57, but it still happens. Whats going on here, and how do i fix it up, its a very frustrating problem

most of the time this occures is because you dont have the right codecs ive found out, uninstall and reinstall your codecs, make sure that when you play a vid that you can advance it, that means you have the right codec. theres also a guide inthis site that shows you how to set your environmantal settings intmpgenc, but i cant seem to find it right now, ill keep looking and post it when i find it

are you running -any- other software on the computer?

Whenever i do encodes i unplug from the network, close my firewall, virus killer, protein folding, jukebox detector, motherboard monitor and any other crap i have running.

I had less problems with TMPGenc following those steps, though these days i never use it anymore!
