AVI output to DV wont work!!!!

hi,
I have an avi file that i got of the internet that i want to output through my firewire to my camera. First off i cant find a good program that even talks about doing that. and second, the programs i can find keep telling me that the it is not a "DV Avi". Is there a way i can convert my avi to a DV Avi so i can output it to my camera or anything? Or is it possible to output it without converting to a DV Avi? I could go into more detail but i think you get the idea. thanks for your help

im sorry, i forgot to read the sticky note before i posted my post. this should go in the newbie section as it pertains to divx to DV and not DV to divx...my bad.

well you could use vegas , video factory , ulead media , premiere, eve , blade 2 , avid dv or several others ..

drop the avi in -> print to tape (it will rerender) , then output -> done
