  1. I have a jvc xvs65gd dvd player, it supports vcd,svcd&xsvcd.
I have been trying to create a svcd of a family video using Tmpgenc12j using a few templates and also trying different settings my self. the problem is that when the svcd is played back on the jvc the video & sound stutters occasionally. I can't figured it out.

I've tried sefy's templates for sxvcd(mpg2) & sevcd (mpg1)using Tmpenc12j also, they work fine on the jvc.

I've also used lsx-mpeg 3.0 for premiere 6.0, same thing when creating an svcd.

any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

also, does anybody know where I could get xsvcd templates for Tmpenc?

That sounds just like what I get when I put an XVCD that has been encoded at 1500kbps (126kbps higher than the standard 1374) into my DVD player (which does NOT support XVCD's, only VCD's)... My guess is your overall bitrate is too high.
