I made an 88 minute vcd yesterday with Sefy's SeVCD template. After making the movie, I tried to play it in my Philips 825. For some reason, the player (and all other players I have tried it on) displayed an incorrect total time for the movie (around 66 minutes instead of 88) and on the Philips 825 I am unable to fast forward or rewind. Could this be because of the nonstandard bitrate (VBR) that the template uses?

    Thanks in advance,
    407

  2. You question is similar to asking 'I attached a pair of wings to my back, jumped off the roof and damn, I couldn't fly even flapping my arms like crazy.' Instead of complaining you couldn't fly you should be grateful you didn't break your neck. <wink>

You start messing with non standard formats, you may get non standard results. Guys that like to mess with computer related stuff need to do so with a healthly skepticism. Just because some template works on one system and DVD player, does not mean it will work on yours. It may, then again it may not or if it does work, not as it does for someone else. Since you didn't say it don't play, I'll assume it does and your only issue is incorrect time display which is trivial. I guess you'll have to settle for that.

By the way, it's called vcdhelp.com, not VCD-complain-about-the-questions.com.
