  1. I recently DL'd the Bit Torrent Client 3.2.1. After the computer said that I had sucessfully installed Bit Torrent, I went looking for fun.

However, every time I try to DL a file, it pops up an error that it could not connect to the server. Normally, I consider myself fairly knowledgable about computers, but this Bit Torrent thing has me stumped Can anybody help me out?

  2. When you want to download a bittorrent file you just click on the file link. A window will pop up asking where you want the file saved. When you choose a location bittorrent does the rest by downloading the appropriate file. The file must also be a BITTORRENT file. It will not download just any file.

I was getting horrible BitTorrent performance, then I went to the creators website and looked at the protocal info. After opening the range of 10 ports required and routeing them only to the machine that bit torrent is used on (for security reasons) I no longer get errors and my downloads are flying at insane speeds. If you use a software or hardware firewall I suggest checking into it.
