Ok I captured some stuff for tv using VirtualDub and the mpeg 4 codec. I used a 500 bitrate so I can put it on the web and it look pretty good considering the file size. I reopened the file in VirtualDub and deleted some scenes and started to frameserve to TMPGenc.
My problem is that the mpg that tmpgenc created was not very good. Is there any way to cut frames out using virtual dub and just save it without reencoding the whole thing? or what settings should I be using in TMPGenc to keep the same quality & file size of the edited AVI file.
