I will post about trying to capture VIDEO with the SNAG-IT
    ISA Computer Video Capture Card.
Installed in a 486 this ISA based card would capture 30 frames or so and then get tired and drop frames (you neeeded to have 32 meg of ram in your 486 not to)
It captured in 256 color palette if i remember to an AVI on the hard drive (500MEGABYTES storage was thousand dollars then)
Tried to capture a MUSIC VIDEO I did for Suicidal Tendencies..gave up until I got the TARGA 1000 years later

DCOS... hehe... retro tech. I'm still in very slow, broken up negotiations to get a Video Master setup for my Atari ST. Problem is the guy doesn't have all the bits (which are all copyprotectioned together) and the disc is slightly corrupt, so it might be a no-sale.

Pity. Would be a fun excercise to capture at 160x100, 25fps, in 16 greyshades (or fullscreen 320x200 at 8fps and 8 shades..), at best with all of ooooooh 12.5khz mono 8-bit sound, and a runtime of about a minute on a maxi-formatted 900kb disc. Y'know. Just because you *can*. Like pixlvision.
(thinks of converting some DivXs to that quality to try and fake as if i really did it to some people... muhahaha... then set them free on the net..)

That avatar, is it what I think it is, just colour cycled?

    An unreleased movie.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

  6. It was the premiere ep of a TV show. It was why I wanted to get into VCD because I knew they didnt sell it anywhere and I wanted a long duration copy. But my crappy ATI TV Wonder Ve didnt do to well. And since I have only PCI slots, I was screwed because my machine doesnt seem to like alot of stuff. So mostly I burned trailers, and downloaded movie for time to time. Most movies I DL i cant burn because the audio in the rip seems to ALWAYS end 1/3 of the way into the clip. Cant extract the full audio either, weird.
