Is there a way to add sound to the nero vcd menu

I have used nero for a while and I have not figured out how to add sound to the menu

I don't think Nero gives you that option. The only way to have dvd-like menus (sound/music, custom chapter images etc) is to use all in one commercial editing programs like Ulead VideoStudio but there are several drawbacks such as incompatible mpeg2 formats etc.

On the other hand, VCDEasy is very good, but significantly more complex when it comes to menu creation (for example you can create complex menus in Photoshop, convert to mpg in VCD easy, then edit the mpg to add music into the mpg file) but you need to look at one of the guides in the How To section for that.
