DVDR media write only once?

So you can only write once to a dvdr? So if you have space left on the dvdr you can't add more to it later?

didn'T tryed yet, but with nero, I think you can make multisession DVD and add stuff after.. you would loose some space but I think it's possible

if you are burning a movie with DVD file structure you must finalise the disc which means even if it is a 10 minute movie you can't add to it later. You can multi session data, mpeg files etc.
