Anybody know where I can find images of DVDs to use for labeling?
    Use what works for you...

  2. Try these:
    http://www.geocities.com/movieartz/
    http://www.dvdplanet.com/main.asp
    http://www.cdcovers.cc/covers.php

I try these site in that oder. I'm not doing dvd case though. I make images for slim cases and the front only. Plus only on a B&W laser printer. I'd rather safe my color for photos and other things plus it make the covers look more uniform. I guess I'm just trying to justify my method. I resize them to 4.81x4.81 and I have a great image. Sometimes you should do a search in GOOGLE and choose IMAGES. In the field put POSTER after the name of the movie and try DVD too. It's cool doing it this way cause sometimes you find better artwork than the actual cover. Like the covers you find for GONE IN 60 SECONDS. They had a contest for the cover and you print those for your case.

If you are printing full DVD case covers then you should go with the last link and there is also another that says they are better but you need to contribute which is understandable.

    Hi Maginashun,

How do you increase the size to 4.81 x 4.81 and what software do you use. Can you give me like steps for dummies. I have no experience at all with photo editing..

    Thanks.

  5. If you are on a PC and you want to do it the cheap and fast way try this:
Download the images that are around 400 pixels or higher. Then open it in MS Photo Editor. Pick IMAGE/RESIZE and enter 4.81x4.81. Now goto EFFECTS/SHARPEN. Then I print in MS PAINT (don't ask me why). I left out cropping cause they are usually right where they should be. I do it this way cause I don't have Photoshop at work.

Other wise Photoshop is the way to go. If I remember correctly then you click on IMAGE/IMAGE SIZE (not canvas size). Then go from then. Lot mare control over the image and then best app for this work.

NOTE: when you open it in MS Photo Editor the size of the image that's best for editing usually will show up as slightly under 1 inch to 2 inches. Sounds weird because your increasing the size which would mean distortion but your concern here is pixels not inches. These images are usually low res so just because you have a 11 inch image doesn't mean it will print nice because those usually have very low pixel count. On the other hand the small ones usually do.
