  1. I am starting to make some vcd/svcd out of my own DV camcorder (Canon ZR). I was following the instructions on the left pannel starting from capturing (Adobe Premier 6). I have successfully captured the video into some AVI clips. But I have problems converting it. I can not open it. I have tried everything suggested in this instruction including setting high priority, install krystal codec, i have even tried the older version of TMGEnc. I am stuck there and desparately need your guys help. Please!! Thanks!!

You have to capture avi to Type-2 DV file, otherwise tmpgenc can't convert these (my experience).
Have you checked DirectShow codec within tmpgenc? What DV codec did you install ?

  6. Often when you have an avi that TMPGenc doesn't like it will be able to read it if you frameserve with AVISynth:

might be a good place to start (although the site seems to be done now). Anyway, you can d/load the MMX optimized ver at:

There are a LOT of features in AVIsynth, but to just frameserve an avi the helpfile should be enough. Luck
