So I decided to see if I could figure out how to convert a divx movie to SVCD on the mac. I don't do it often, but sometimes it's nice to be able to show somebody something on TV as opposed to crowding around the computer screen. I'd done so with limited success on the PC, but wasn't sure if it was possible on the mac. Initial verdict. It is (if people are interested I'll write up what I did). There were some odd things that I'd like to figure out though.
The conversion did something weird to the divx file. It kind of stretched it out and smooshed it down some. Does anyone know how to keep it from doing this? It doesn't look horrible, but it doesn't really look quite right either.
