Hello anybody,
I've been ripping with TMPGenc for a while, and its great but it just takes bloody ages. I have a Real magic hollywood+ dvd card and Win TV pci card. I struck on the idea to bung the s-video cable between the two cards and try and capture in real time in ravisent cineplayer or powervcr. I've had a couple of attempts in both but i'm struggling. In cineplayer DVR it works but is quite stuttery on a setting which works fine on my computer setup when capturing direct from the tv. On powervcr it captures in B+W but doesn't seem to be that stuttery at all. So basically, has anyone else used this kind of method sucessfully? and can anyone give me some pointers to a good setup or the best capturing program to use? Does it make a difference if i capture direct from the dvd or is it better to capture from ripped .vob file? HELP PLEASE!!!!

If you choose the Hollywood/WinTV Card -> Realtime method, your quality result would not be as great as if you went the (very long) DVDRip->TMPGEnc method. Just letting you know... =|
