    Does anyone else have problems extracting wav files from big AVI files. I had a 7GB one today that produced no audio after about two and a half hours. I had to go into TMPG and save it off that way. It worked great BUT you can't listen to the audio to know where to edit it (or can you somehow?).

    no, I just stripped a .wav file out with Virtualdub from a 25 Gb avi, took about 6 minutes to render a 700Mb wav file.

    Was the .wav 7Gb or was the .avi 7Gb?

    What OS & filesystem are you using?

    What codecs are being used in the .avi?
