i used the doom9's guide (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/dvdmotion_pro_guide.htm) everything went good except when i tried to make a chapter list. i make a .chp file using this syntax :

Thats easy, and I'm sure a lot of us have been there...
You'll find you video does not start at 00:00:00:00, it proabaly will start at 01:00:00:00 if you encoded in CCE and didn't alter the default start timecode, or if you demuxed a DVD it could well start just before 01:00:00:00.
Anyway as you video is prepared now, just check in DVDMaestro the start timecode of the video, then add this onto the chapter times, if it's 01:00:00:00 it's easy to add 1 onto the hour column.
In future set the timecode to 00:00:00:00 in CCE or use DVDDecryter 3.1.5.0 for ripping DVDs and tell it to patch the M2V timecode to 00:00:00:00.
Starting video after zero is left over from when tape master was used, it allowed for spin up of the tape player.
