Hi!
I'm thinking of doing an MPEG encoding comparison and would like to know if has already been done. If not, then is anyone interested in helping out.
As I'm not filthy rich, the help I need is in the form of hardware assistance. Basically, those helping out would just need to download a clip, burn it to miniDVD and use their card / PVR to encode it
The aim is to find out how each device / card, using a hardware real-time MPEG encoding chip, fares in encoding a certain clip. I'm very sure at one point of time or another, some of you would have wondered what type of quality each card is capable of producing. I've been scouring the net for quite some time but have not found any sites giving a comparison of
Those interested in helping out in any way (Design / host space...etc ), even if they don't have the card, do reply in this thread & email me.
You can also reach me via ICQ at 2576329 or AIM at kayasys
Let me know what you think
