I have tried Ulead movie factory to author some dvd's and when I try to load an m2v file it gives an error saying that it doesn't like the file type. I change the file extension to .mpv and get an error saying that no audio or video is present. Do I have to mux audio and video before adding movie to Ulead MF.

    Thanks in advance
    This is so much fun!

  2. I had something a bit similar with Movie Factory - it took the .m2v files ok and played them fine, but there was no sound; the related .mpa file was there and played ok in Media Player etc. Importing a .mpa file via Replace Audio gave an error 'No Audio Data' - changing the export from Premiere to mux to a .mpg worked fine.
So, muxed file is probably the best way to go, and as far as I know, no drawback to this unless you need to use multiple soundtracks (languages) for the same video.

  3. Had the same problem. Went back to Spruce up.
Don't give in to DVD2ONE, that leads to the dark side.

  4. Ulead Movie Factory #1 will only accept .mpg files for DVD authoring. I think #2 will acept the seperate audio and video files, change audio to .mpa first just like in SpruceUp. ................... harrymj3

  5. I was at their site. Hmm... don't see were they have #1 & #2. I see the regular version and the new AC-3. Is that what you mean?
