Guys...I need some help. After editing a movie in Adobe Premiere 6.0, I want to export it to a VHS tape.

I read in the Adobe Premiere Bible that if Playback on Desktop is enabled in DV Settings, there will be "poorer quality" in the output. I'm not sure what that means.

Does that mean I need to hook up a TV set to the VCR to view the footage? How do I set up tape exporting using the Canopus ADVC-100? I hooked up the TV from the VCR's video out and the Canopus ADVC-100 is feeding the AV from the video out in the back of the Canopus to the input on the back of the VCR.

Also, does it matter if preview from RAM is set in Project Settings within Keyframe and Rendering? Just want to have the best quality possible.. Sorry if I sound like a complete dumbass, I'm still trying to get used to things! Thanks for all!
